For me the most essential element of their care is the empowerment of the patient. The clinicians and staff have authentic passion and altruism, combined with incredible knowledge. I am so grateful I still have them as a resource as I continue to go through my healing journey from cancer.

Kate DeVarney, Ph.D., IHH Patient

Why we need your support?

We provide whole person care for people facing serious chronic conditions. A person facing cancer might get acupuncture to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy, take a cancer nutrition class to keep up their strength, or receive oncology massage to reduce pain and discomfort. Our income from patient care provides a substantial portion of our budget but charitable donations allow us to innovate, grow and embrace those across the health care equity gap. We are grateful to be of service to our community, and we welcome your support.

What is the Institute for Health & Healing?

A national leader in the field of Integrative Medicine, Sutter’s Institute for Health & Healing (IHH) serves patients online and across our four Bay Area clinics in San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Roseville, and Sacramento. Practicing Integrative Medicine, IHH heals people while working to transform the practice of medicine to treat the whole person, not just the disease. We have demonstrated a decade of devotion to kindness, compassion, inclusion and clinical excellence to Sonoma residents.

What do we do?

IHH incorporates a wide range of holistic approaches such as Physician Consults, Integrative Psychotherapy, Chinese Medicine, Nutritional Support, Chiropractic Care, and Bodywork Therapies in partnership with conventional Western medical treatment. By offering these complementary therapies, we treat complex chronic conditions that are not easily or successfully addressed by conventional Western medicine alone.

How can businesses get involved?

The community has shown incredible resilience in the face of firestorms, power outages, and the Covid Pandemic – yet more needs to be done. We collaborate with local business by providing educational webinars and events for their employees and by receiving donations to improve access to care. Join this dynamic and exciting group of community business leaders championing health and healing for our communities.

Twenty-five years ago, a small team of healers had a dream to change how this country practices medicine, and how its citizens relate to their own wellbeing. That dream became a clinic. That clinic became a community. That community became a movement. This moment in history paired with your help will ignite that movement for all.
