Guest Speaker Venus Williams
We are thrilled to share that Venus Williams is our keynote speaker at Mills-Peninsula Hospital Foundation’s 21st Annual Women’s Health Luncheon & Lecture scheduled for Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the Kohl Mansion in Burlingame.
A world-renowned athlete, Venus Williams is one of the most accomplished women in tennis with a career spanning 7 Grand Slam titles, 5 Wimbledon championships, and 4 Olympic gold medals. Venus’ legendary career has garnered her an array of accolades including being honored as Variety’s “Power of Women”, CARE’s Impact Award for Gender Equality, and Forbes’ ‘Celebrity 100’ among others. A fierce advocate of mental health, Venus recently partnered with BetterHelp, one of the largest online therapy platforms, and donated $2M providing free mental health care in New York City. On this occasion, Venus will share her personal wellness journey, and why – even as a professional athlete and bold entrepreneur – community support is crucial not only in your own journey, but also in influencing change at the local level.

Mills-Peninsula Medical Center is San Mateo County’s largest provider of cancer care for women. Early detection through regular mammography that uses advanced imaging technology is critical to ensuring the best outcomes with the least invasive and most impactful treatments. We hope you will continue your philanthropic partnership with us and consider making a gift to support our Fund-A-Need initiatives, including screenings for the underserved and a new Breast MRI Machine benefiting the Women’s Center.
There has never been a greater need for your support. It is essential that we provide screening services to those in need to catch any potential cancers at their earliest, most treatable stages and bring new Breast MRI technology which will improve image quality and shorten exam times improving the patient experience of the Women’s Center.
We would greatly appreciate it if you considered renewing your support once again this year.

- A gift of $5,000 supports new MRI technology
- A gift of $1,000 funds a breast MRI
