Women's Health Luncheon & Lecture

After being postponed for the past two years, the Women's Health Luncheon & Lecture once again continued its mission to bring the brightest minds in health care and prevention to our community. The event was a resounding success as we had nearly 350 attendees join us outdoors at the beautiful Filoli Garden.

This year’s keynote speaker, Robin Roberts, shared an inspirational story of her cancer journey and the importance of early detection. She highlighted her experiences as a messenger to women living with breast cancer and how to remain positive while facing this battle.

Mills-Peninsula Medical Center is San Mateo County’s largest provider of cancer care for women. Early detection through regular mammography that uses advanced imaging technology is critical to ensuring the best outcomes with the least invasive and most impactful treatments. We hope you will continue your philanthropic partnership with us and consider making a gift to support our Fund-A-Need initiatives, including screenings for the underserved and a new Breast MRI Machine benefiting the Women’s Center.

There has never been a greater need for your support.  It is essential that we provide screening services to those in need to catch any potential cancers at their earliest, most treatable stages and bring new Breast MRI technology which will improve image quality and shorten exam times improving the patient experience of the Women’s Center.

We would greatly appreciate it if you considered renewing your support once again this year.

How does your gift make an impact?

  • A gift of $5,000 supports new MRI technology
  • A gift of $1,000 funds a breast MRI
  • A gift of $500 funds two DBT mammograms
  • A gift of $250 funds two diagnostic ultrasounds
